And I welded on some additional plate steel. I reinforced the weld joints with a "diamond" piece (not shown here). The two holes in the extensions align with the existing recovery points on the bottom of the frame rail. I scavenged a recovery hook from a junk yard, so now I've got "eyes" and "hooks" on both sides.

I know I am reviving this from the dead, but this is exactly what I have been looking for as I haven't been able to find matching front and rear steel bumpers. I wanted to add a winch, but don't like the look of a steel front bumper and plastic rear. I will be tackling this project soon! Thanks for this post!!
