Auction Closes tomorrow on EBay on my P19

1985 OshKosh P19
Houston, TX
$20,000 OBO

This 1985 OshKosh P19 has tanks and pumps removed in favor of a flat deck in anticipation of a camper box build. It's a great platform with pre-emissions Big Cam Cummins 855cu 400HP engine. With under 3000 miles there is tons of life left in this power plant.

Sporting 54" tires on two piece steel rims the P19 has a formidable stature and makes up for its huge turning radius with the ability to "drive through" or "drive over" just about anything. It's current weight is just over 19k lbs with a GVWR of 34k lbs. There is plenty of cushion to build this rig up according to you wildest immagination.

Besides being ridiculously quick for its size it can cruise at highway speeds, but the tires are only rated for 55mph.

One of the coolest thing about this rig is that it seats 4 passengers shoulder to shoulder and has ice-cold AC. AC is crucial for the summer months in the Southern States. It also is full time four wheel drive with a center diff lock that is air driven.

Only has minor cosmetic issues like a missing wiper and busted lens cover.

This rig is ready for what ever, and has not a fuse to be found anywhere, only self resting circuit breakers.

This is listed for sale locally and may be removed before the end of the auction if a LOCAL SALE OCCURS. No Reserve.

Street Legal and has current Texas title and registration.

The platform is 12’3” by 8ft. It fits an ambulance body in the space quite nicely. You could have the camper box 7 ft tall and still be under height for bridges that have a clearance of 12ft or higher. I was going to build the box to have an overhang over the front cab where sleeping quarters would be. Could fit a queens size bed there quite easily.

It’s also worth nothing that the entire center portion of the vehicle, while includes the compartments, is mounted on a three point pivot to allow the vehicle to articulate without transmitting torsional stress to the platform or any structure built there on.
