We had to rework the front clip a bit for mounting the AC and for fitting the radiator. Bought and upgraded intercooler which is claimed to increase capacity by 30%.

Nice build. What A/C unit did you end up going with?

Also do you know where to get parts for these Santana’s? I got a 91 Santana 110 last week and the fuel tank is cracked in 3 places. Not sure if the Defender tank will fit and am having trouble finding info...

Try Rovers North. They may be able to help with Santana parts and/or crossing over to Defender stuff.

Interesting build! I guess I’m lucky I imported my truck when I did. It seems to be a mine field now a days.

I have an 1988 Santana 2500 DC(DC means short body) and my father in law sent me the dealer maintenance manuals and the parts manuals and after a cross reference I found that the tanks of the land rover series 3 is the same as the Santana series IV or 2500 DL (dl means long body) so far the parts has been fairly cheap to find usually I get the parts from France but they are really cheap to get and they specialize in Santana cars. Already tried rovers north and they don't sell Santana parts but like I said on the ipc ( image part manuals) most of the parts of the frame, fuel tank, axles wheel bearings etc are cross reference with the land rover series 109 or 88 but the frame itself is a 110 and 90. The body, interior, engine and transfer case are cross reference with the defender 90

If you are looking for santana spare parts at decent prices look for these web pages:
Euro4x4parts.com
Land rover treasure shop
Johncraddock.co.uk
Paddocksparea.com (they are a bit high on the parts and takes about a month to receive the part,so beware)

She's alive again! Been dormant for awhile but Covid allowed me to get back and finish her up. @Scheel-man Sportline seats all installed, just need to install seat heater switches. Front extra layer of dynamat knockoff and foam layer for sound and insulation. 20200128_104827.jpg20200128_104827.jpg20200128_111449.jpg

Got the cooling system hooked up and fired her up back in April. Front thermostat housing was leaking and after the 3rd try, just sealed it up with TheRightStuff and its holding. Pressure tested and holding well.

Finished up rewiring and noticed some lights on dash not working. Changed all 1.2w minibulbs and added LED backlights to gage cluster. Need to fix bad ground and LED taillights/flasher issues. Headlight wiring also messed up.

After firing her up, she has a leak at the throttle swivel on the injection pump. Called a few places to get quotes on rebuild and they ranged from 1200 to 2k. Yikes! Bought a fresh rebuild direct from @bearmach for cheaper nd it arrived 3 days later.

Borrowed install kit to lockout pulley so I didn't have to take off timing belt. It was newly installed when I dropped the engine in.
