I bought it, cut the original packing tape, opened the box to verify content and condition. There is very light surface rust on the generator. It wiped off with my finger. No pitting evident.

i just used the one my dad bought in like '85 last weekend.... fantastic stoves and bottle of whitegas will last you a long while and uses less space than propane!
