It’s finished, well mostly. Still need to do the wiring and a few other punch list items, then it’s off to get a VIN.

The trailer is about 4 1/2’ x 8 1/2’ on the interior. Big enough to fit the wife and my bikes. It is all home built using 2x4 tubing for the frame, 1x2 for the structure of the box, 16ga for the sides and 12ga for the floor. Timbren axles with electric brakes to stop this beast. And linear actuators on the rack to make more room when the bikes are in the trailer, and to get it low enough to fit in the garage.

Nice job! But why would you make your wife ride back there with your bikes? :)

English is such a confusing language. I was intending to say that we each have one motorcycle that will go in the trailer, not that I have two bikes and the wife rides in it too. However, your version could come in handy some days.

She is ready to hit the road! Wiring is complete and the tent is installed. I was dreading getting a VIN, as I currently live in New England and everything seems to cost an arm and a leg and be way more difficult than it needs to be. However, 30 minutes and $15 later, I walked out of the DMV with a VIN and a plate.
