Roof top tent

What's everyone using for bedding in their roof top tents? More specifically the Eezi-awn 1200.

For us it really depends on what kind of temperatures... We use a blanket on top of the matress and a down comforter on top, and if it is cold enough we will use mummy bags with a blanket over the top...

Thanks for just answering. I noticed you have the Mombasa from previous searches... does it allow you to leave some of the bedding in there?

I don't leave any bedding inside, I don't think it folds good enough with stuff in there. I use a couple of really big Cabelas +20 sleeping bags. We carry our pillows inside the truck and the sleeping bags inside the trailer until we set up. Quite comfortable.

I've had a couple of minor issues with some things, but I haven't let any of that get in the way of enjoying it. The canvas is very nice, I added a 1/2" pad from Bed Bath and Beyond to the mattress to make it more comfortable for my big ******** (that I leave inside when folded). I've slept in it down to 17 degrees and as warm as 75 at night. It's comfortable either way if you have the proper sleeping gear and zip it up or open it up for the conditions.
I've been in gusty conditions but no rain or snow yet.
Good tents!
If you're going with a smaller tent, I know a lot of people are real happy with the Maggialina (sp?). They have a hard case shell that I think is real cool.

I have the Magg, its great! A bit smaller than then Ezi Awn but you can leave more stuff in it when closed which is nice.

I use sleeping bags when cold, sheets and a blanket when not.

Standard foam pad in my Maggiolina Grand Tour plus a heated blanket atop that plus a syn mattress pad atop that to wrap it together. Then full size sheets (fitted + regular) and a nice down comforter in a duvet atop that. It all stays in the cranked down Magg for travel time. It would be nice to have an inch of softer mattress/pad atop the base mattress for just a little more comfort...but it certainly is OK as is.

I've used my down sleeping bag...but prefer the comfiness of the above system so far.

I have left bedding in it before but it was tough to get everything straight to fold up correctly so it wouldn't quite close perfect, although it worked ok. I think some of the nicer tents have straps to be able to cinch it all together I think that would help a ton! I am probably going to add some and I think I would be more likely to leave that kind of stuff in there...

Here are the flannel sheets I bought for the medium Maggiolina AirLand.
Sheets are sized at full.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000PKCCF6/ref=nosim/ihco-20

The down comforter is a twin, and I got it from The Company Store.
It is called the La Crosse, and is sized at a twin, and the heaviest weight they have, Ultra Warmth.

It is on my bed at home right now on top of my old comforter.
I like the new comforter so much I just ordered another one, but sized at queen for my bed.

Pics of the sheets here, I may put the comforter in the tent this Sunday.

I use king size sheets & a down comforter. I leave the sheets on if I'm going out again soon. The comforter I put in a cotton sleeping bag storage bag and carry inside the truck. I put a down sleeping bag in the tent in case it gets too cold at night.
Before I fold the tent up after each use I throw in about 6 dryer sheets to help keep the smell nicer next time its opened then put new ones in the pockets as air fresheners.

Corey,

Thanks for sharing... I have had several chance to check out the Magg but never did, they look really comfy and the stitching looks very stout!

Kai,

Very smart with the dryer sheets. What size tent are you using?
