Roof Racks

Has Overland Journal (or anyone else) ever done a comprehensive review of the various roof racks on the market? I would be interested in seeing a comparison on issues like:

1. Weight/material/construction.
2. Capacity (weight they can carry).
3. Ease of installation.
4. Wind noise created.
5. Accessories available (light mounts, tools mounts, etc.)
6. Price/delivery.

I can find individual reviews and informal postings but no real unbiased comparison.

I would have to actually look at my issue, Baja Rack, Front Runner for sure. I'll try and look tonight.

Based on your list there, I would say that the Front Runner style of racks would best all around. I do think that they do not look right on certain trucks though as some trucks look better with the classic welded tube design.

I am sure that is the case. I've ordered that issue anyway but given how expensive these things have gotten to be I want as much information as possible.
