Here are a few pics of my water system. I have a 12 gallon main tank behind the seat and a 4 gallon hot tank. The hot tank is plumbed to a heat exchanger. The water in that is circulated via a switch on the dash. The level of heat added is controlled by the heater temp slider and the amount of time the circulation pump it on.

I mounted the pumps (three: on-demand main (cold), on-demand hot, and heat exchanger) under the main tank. I wanted to be able to easily access the pumps, so they are mounted to a highfalutin sliding tray (a repurposed cookie tray). The hot and cold can be used independently or together. I series of check valves ensures that the tank contents don't mix.

The heat exchanger can also be used for a typical external shower as well.
