Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Dual radiator is doable and Mercedes fan will do the job,
Better than Mercedes fan is Lincoln and ford crown Vic fan, it’s huge,
However on eBay you can buy better and stronger fan than those two for only 35 bucks and blade can be flipped to push or pull.
I would use the original radiator and add another smaller Honda or Toyota Camry radiator up front where AC condenser used to go.
Your space to use fan clutch is limited I think, your gonna stick to electric fans ?

Make sure to also build manual glow plugs heater using ford starter solenoid and momentary switch, super easy to do and makes the system bulletproof.
Already done. Manual glowplugs with a push button in my dash. Works great.

I think I found a 4 core 6.2 L GM all aluminum radiator with a fan shroud and dual fans I'm going to purchase. It fits. I currently have the same radiator but it's only 3 core.

I can't run a mechanical fan unfortunately. Not enough room.

I'm also running a separate oil cooler with -10 hose and push lock fittings.

I'd like to add an intercooler later on.

The list is getting smaller. The oil cooler and power steering cooler are now done and mounted.

I purchased a four core aluminum radiator. That should be here in a week.

Updated photos.

The head gasket was blown. Making it hard to start and leaking water out from the head.

You'd think that by putting a different kind of non- Land Rover engine in it I'd be done with head gaskets. Well lesson learned head gasket God's. Well played Land Rover. Well played

Did you fix the high idle problem if not you should check the low speed governor I had to adjust mine because of the stall speed of my converter

Its already been done. I did that with the 6.2L that was in it.

Drove it yesterday. Just need to get a few more things done to it. The turbo wastegate isn't hooked up yet. I'm making my own manual one, so I can set the boost where I want it.

Waiting on a new full manual valve body for the transmission as well. The TV cable on the 700R4 is hard to adjust correctly, and the turbo is now in the way of the old mounting bracket.

Yes, i had to take the top off the injection pump, part of the linkage was in the wrong spot. Fixed it on the truck. Idles good now. I had one leaking injector line. I tightened it and it yesterday. Then drove it.

Going in deep here. Full manual reverse shifting valve body in the 700R4. Got it apart. Not nearly as hard as I though.

I’ll put it back together tomorrow I’m sick of getting dripped on.

Full manual reverse valve body with engine braking is installed.

Wasn’t horrible. The instructions sucked. Kept getting stuck or scared I was going to screw it up. But it’s all back together. I’ll fill it up tomorrow and hopefully take it for a quick spin.

All I have left to do is hook up some wiring from the transmission to a switch so I can control the torque converter

Filled the transmission with fresh ATF. Started it up, moved it back and fort a few inches. IT WORKS!

Just have to finish the wiring on it. Then I'm done finally with the tranny!
