Vehicle is our 2019 WK2 Trailhawk. We’re headed to Colorado this summer to do some day adventures (trails/passes: Black Bear, Imogene, general exploring, etc), and we plan to do more off-road related trips. I’m going to upgrade from the OEM size tires (265/60r18) to 31.5’s or 32’s. I’ve done the research and know what sizes fit, etc.
My question is about LT tires vs P tires. Do the rocks & rocky roads in the San Juans warrant LT tires or are P tires sufficient? How much different is the ride on LT tires if they’re necessary? I don’t do any towing and, if I do, it won’t be serious weight.
