What a beauty! How do the interior and exterior dimensions compare to something I'd be more familiar with, like a low roof Sprinter 144? I assume there is plenty of headroom with the poptop up, but what's the interior height with it down?

Thx! :)
Poptop down there is still 185cm. Just checked the dimensions of a 144 Sprinter. Yes, its similar, the 310 its little longer/higher/wider, but not much..

- 2,3l Gasoline engine with 105hp

Wow, beautiful rig and a reasonable price... but such a tiny engine! Definitely a different paradigm compared to the US norm. It will be really slow going up steep mountain roads at altitude.

Elsewhere I've seen a figure of 14.5 mpg listed for a 310 with the 2.3l. Is that about right?

It's lighter than I thought. ~3500 lb original, with a 7000 lb max. https://autogidas.lt/en/auto-katalogas/mercedes-benz/310/602.012-1989-1995-k39957

Thank you!
And yes, it‘s definitely not the right car if you‘re a hurry, especially uphill… but gives you plenty of time to enjoy the views and look for nice offroad tracks ?
we calculate with approx. 16l per 100km on highways. According to google equals about 14.5mpg
