Just building my 200 Series.

If you've previously made this trip, then I'm curious why you think you'll need all this extra gear. The road isn't technical, there are enough fuel stops that main tank + auxiliary should give you plenty of wiggle room. All that stuff on your roof rack is going to get caked in mud/dirt FYI.

And where do you plan to go "further offroad?" With the exception of some minor snowmobile tracks, the Dalton highway is the only real road between Coldfoot and Prudhoe Bay.
Let me just say this...mep1811 has been all over the world and Alaska is a place of the many he will enjoy with his new trailer and Landcruiser. Having said that his Landcruiser is looking very nice!

Installed an on-board dual battery charge system.
The unit tucks in nicely on the side of the bumper. How to do a little Dremel work to get it in there but fits perfectly now.

I also installed an Anti-gravity battery tracker. I think that's going to be a very handy device.

Since I don't drive the truck every day this is the best way to keep the batteries topped off and ready to go.

Nice mods. I'd be a little leary of the ac chord between bumper and body as there can be significant movement there. perhaps something like this?

Not between the body and the bumper . That is a rubber molding.

My HKB voltage booster arrived from Australia. Works great boosting the alternator voltage. Just pop out the fuse and replace with the booster.

This is a great solution to a dual battery setup with AGM batteries.

My homemade platform system in the back of a 200 series can hold six wolf packs.
On the right side I have a wolf pack with recovery gear pushed to the front and the flat pack filled with hygiene supplies.

On the left are two boxes for dry goods. On the deck, I have room for boxes or whatever. One box might hold our "city' clothing when we visit friends while on the road.

The roof has two small Alu Boxes one with bat wing walls and the other with jumper cables, winch extension spare belt , hoses, air filter ,shop towels etc.

Campfire in a Can , Gazelle gazebo and another Alu Box for misc stuff.

All in all, I think the setup is very modular with boxes removed it need be or added.

Very nice rig. A stock 200 series with no mods would work fine for me. :) Can't drive to Alaska this year, unfortunately.

Some more pictures from our trip. The Darsche 270 awning is great. It has guy lines that allow for water to drain off. The only issue is zipping the cover shut. The cover is about an inch too small. If the awning is not folded just right it will not zipper close. Even when it is folded correctly the zipper just barely zips shut.

I had an extra LED light so I added a dedicated front dust light. Save some hours on the halogen yellow fog light bulbs.
