How does this look, LC79 with 300mm Chassis extension, 2 inch lift and 32 inch tyres.

All Aluminum construction on the body.

I think this could be built on a late used LC79 for under $70k

you would find you would get up and over the gvm pretty quick on the cruiser. we had a fleet of them onsite and they were heavy. we had plenty of problems with diffs cracking due to load. I would go with a NPS or similiar

I tend to agree with your comments Dan85, however the amount of money need to to take a NPS and make suitable as an overlander puts me off a bit.

What with super singles, up rated suspension and making the cab more livable would run in 10-15k on top of the price of truck.

the cruiser cab is about as barren as the NPS cab and uncomfortable as hell. after working with them id be happy if i never had to drive one more than 100kms again. you would need to do similiar suspension work to both and then still run the risk of break cruiser diffs based on being over or very close to gvm
