Sorry man, that stinks. Cat theft has increased since COVID started. The mines were temporarily shut down, so the price of the rare metals inside has skyrocketed causing the increase in thefts. Rhodium is $14,700 an ounce right now. I’ve been considering getting a cat shield or making something to hopefully deter any jerks out there. Anyways, sorry to hear that. Good luck with the repair.

THanks! It's a great platform for a build. Started with just your standard stahl e350 service body. You can find a more detailed build thread on sportsmobileforum.com, Show and Tell section, 6.0 Service body build.
Do you have a build thread n this van? This has to be one the most interesting vans I’ve seen in a while.
what was it originally?

now that winter is prettymuch over, i changed out to the summer wheels with new tires. 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler ultraterrains. a little bit of rubbing up front on some plastic trim, that i trimmed back. the wheels finally fit the buswhacker flares that have been on there for years. Now it just needs a washIMG_20220319_125820549.jpg

One drawback to the Transit's is the low rear shock mounts. Gobs of power though.

Spring Break glamping with my girls just outside Moab near Canyonlands. We went heavy (16K lbs) took Moby and the Outback as the weather can get pretty nasty on a moments notice. It was gorgeous every day, next level peanut butter cup smores were invented, burgers grilled, camp fires, many bubly cans were sacrificed to the bb gun pellet gods. A storm started rolling in as we were packing it up, perfect timing and we got back to CO in time for 4 inches of snow the next morning.

Step one complete. Off road wheels and tires on the AWD Express with the torsion keys cranked up 3/4". Step two is a ladder which I have and will install soon. Step 3 will be fabbing a roof rack which I'll do with some 8020 extrusions and dunnage racks.
