Love these pics! When you say you went on a trip with your family, does that mean you have seating for more than 2 people? Would love to use an ambulance for our next rig, but it's hard to find a crew cab! The only crew cabs are the F-series ambos, and those are real long. Wondering if you have seating back in the ambo box.

Awesome! I was on my Dual Sport out there this summer and rode both those passes. The entire time I was wondering if my van could do it. Do you have 4x4? Mine is 2014 Ford E350 EB that is currently all stock, blank canvas, and was wondering how your van did on those passes. Thanks!

It's factory AWD. Did fine. I would really love to have a low range though.

Yes, both my previous ambo and this one have seating for four. This one has a permanent bed at the back and a dinette in the middle (with two 3 points seatbelts on the forward facing bench).

Bought her this morning. She had very old snow tires so we had to stop at Walmart before starting the 7 hour trip home. 7.3 with 100800 miles. So far appears to be almost completely rust free. No rot just some surface rust in places.

At what point is a camper conversion too similar to an ambulance conversion? In general, I would prefer to not set my van on fire.

Flushed coolant yesterday, fixed and oil leak where the oil filler goes into the head, cleaned the interior and loaded gear back into it. Today is got a wash. I need to do some paint correction/touch up. Waiting for the heat to break. Thinking of pulling the roof basket off too. I’m not pleased with the overhang.

“Factory” was seating for 5 in the back.

I’ve got two captains chairs that rotate about five feet back, and a seat out of a 1980s Ford conversion van across the back. The rear bench has a platform behind it which is perfect to store all the bedding on in the day. Folded flat it’s a Queen size bed (with 2.5” memory foam topper). If I roll that up on the platform and pull a lever, it converts to seating for 3… plenty of space for 4, but it came with 3 seatbelts and I didn’t add more.

Total seating is 7. I don’t have any sexy windows like @Abitibi… although I may one day add a camera to play the outside on the TV… :D

You’ll have to excuse the mess, I’ve not finished unpacking since we got back from Ucluelet a couple days ago.
