Well, something went thump and I now have a cylinder misfire in #3.

No one here will touch it.

Have to slow drive 380km.
.
Any suggestions?

Do I make that trip or leave it here for.... Literally a month before it can be fixed.

???

I have no experience with the 5.4 so can't offer any specific advice.
On the other hand I do have experience with trying to limp broken vehicles home and unless you know the cause and that further driving won't make it worse then I'd park it. Don't be like me and turn a $50 one hour fix into a 3 days of work and a grand of parts.

Most likely spark plugs or ignition coils. I've been running this cheap set of coils for three years One was iffy, but for $30 for a set of 8, I can not complain. they are very easy to replace.

As far as driving or not. Where is "here"? What are your circumstances... I am sure your family or your Instagram followers know the details, but the rest of the internet don't. ;)

Triton engine...yeah either the coil failed or the spark plug has gotten off the ride. If the coiled failed unplug the injector to avoid melting the cat down.

What does “no one here will touch it” mean? Where is “here”?
Are you looking for a mechanic? Ask at the local parts store?

Not much reception after leaving the town I was in.

Tried 6 places none of them were able to look at it. Too busy.

Puttered my way into Thunder Bay, have a mechanic who take a look tomorrow.
