Are you using the Smittybuilt overhead counsel thing?

Yes. I like it. there are some things id change. the bags sag a bit when loaded up. so i went thru and pulled the material they attach to up and secured it to the rack. With 37s i can barrely see out my rearview anyway so the back up camera comes in handy

Damn. I really like the smittybuilt one but they do not work for a hardtop.

I don't know how I missed so much of this thread until now. I'm still a rockcrawler at heart. Thanks for sharing all the pics. I just got on the board of directors for my local club and I want to take some of the events the your club does back to mine.

Congrats on the news of becoming a father! If you think that the day at the orphanage hit you in the feels, wait until you have one of your own.

Please do. Any questions don't hesitate to send me message.

THANK YOU. Im sure it will hit me more than once. Im super excited. :)

Unfortunately no.

Seriously tho. Install the rack.
The Center throw lever on the freedom panel is what gets in the way. It doesn't let the center come down enough. Remove it. And use a bolt thru the rack to pull the center down instead.

Alternatively there is one on ebay that will clear. Google "molle over head rack JK"

I took the team rig to Morris Mountain ORV Park with the Warner Robins Jeep Club for a little shake down. Great group and a great ride!

I ended up keeping the beast.
Modifications were made to fit a pair of buckets in the rear for the kids. Turned out great. My daughter loves it and hopefully little man does when he gets here.

Added a hard top and routed the exhaust out the rear instead of the crawler dump to quite it down to.
Honestly hadnt been out of the garage much. Keep waiting on kids to get big enough and momma to be able to ride again.
I'll post some pictures of the Montana adventures over the last 2 years soon.

We are now Utah residents so that will make for some awesome adventures soon.20180526_141300.jpg

Well since my last good update was early 2016 I guess I need to go back quite a bit. In that last update we were prepped for the 36 hours of uhwarrie.
We ended up taking 6th in that event. Would have been a podium but the warn service center screwed up and my "rebuilt" winch needed to be rebuilt on the side of the trail in order to continue to compete. That lost time took us from first to last. In the last day and half we were able to fight our way back to 6th. Pictures below.

End of 2016 was super busy but not for the Jeep world.
I moved to Montana with the 6 month pregnant wife.
Daughter was born end of December so Jeep life was on hold while dad life took over.

This poor weather meant the jeep got a break. Well when it wasnt needed for the local search and rescue guys. Turns out it was pretty capable in snow unless it was really packed then the short wheel base showed its flaws.
During that break I was able to prep for something I had dreamed about for years.
My frist trip to Moab. 2017 Easter Jeep Safari was going to happen but I needed to fix some things that were broken by the 36 hours.
New ball joints and rebuilding my sway bar motor.
Oh and Warn apologized for their incompetent service center that cost us the win. They sent me a new motor for the winch but i still would have rather won.
