Oil filter storage

It just occurred to me that I could share my method of spare oil filter storage. It doesn't work for every size, but I've used one pound-ish coffee cans, well cleaned, to keep oil filters dry and dust free for years. It works perfect for Wix 51515 sized (Ford FL1A) filters, and many others.

I use an alternate idea.

I buy a new filter that comes in a box, then I use a food storage seal-a-meal machine to vacuum bag the filter, I then put the filter back into the box. This isn’t heavy duty protection like a coffee can would offer, but works well and keeps the filter dust free.

I made a plate with two threaded bosses welded to it. Two filters can thread onto those bosses with a little oil on the gasket. Plan is/was to bolt that plate into the engine bay somewhere. It didn't make it onto the truck it was originally intended for as I ran out of time. If there is room at least 1/2 of it will make it into the FJ60's engine bay somewhere.
