Thank you for the trip report. Do you have any information on the technical sections that you bypassed? What about water crossings? I'm planning to run the NMBDR between Christmas and New Year's. From the videos I've seen, there were quite a bit of flooded roads to contend with.

Hi Berserker,

I don't have any info on the technical sections, and did not have any real water crossings. If I were with anbother truck I probably would have tried them. Late May and Early June it is pretty dry in NM. I would expect there to be some water in late December, mostly from low elevation snow melt. The bigger problem will be some roads in the high country may be impassable due to snow. I would suggest checking out the NMBDR thread on ADVrider - https://advrider.com/f/threads/next-in-the-bdr-series-nmbdr.1022082/. Also, the BDR folks were very helpful when planning my trip. You may wish to contact them directly.

The NMBDR passes through some beautiful country. I hope you have a great trip.

Safe Travels,

David
