Nice little flashlight: Fenix PD-35

I just picked up a Fenix PD35 850 lumens flashlight, it is the best light I have had so far. I have been using a Princeton-Tec Rage and a headlight for the last few years, with the obligatory Mag-Light D cell in the truck.
.
A pretty impressive little light, while very bright it's the multiple settings that have me using it more already than I thought I would. If you leave it set on 850 the ON button should be treated with care!

I've been looking at the PD32 of the Fenix - didn't know about the 35.... that thing is definitely powerful and has some really good run times on the lower settings. Might just be the one I end up going with.

I have two of the predecessors, the PD30. They're great lights. I had to retire my Surefires once I picked up the Fenix's.

Are this the type flashlights that are super bright and the batteries go quick then you cry when you see the price of the camera batteries

Or just get the single 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery which replaces the two 3V CR123A Lithium batteries
I bought this light a month back with a charger and four Panasonic 18650 batteries.
I have several Surefire lights, the Fenix PD 35 blows them away.
Having the five settings button is nice.

Coworkers are amazed at the lumen output of this smallm pocket torch.

I also have one of their headlamps, best headlamp I have ever owned.

i bought a fenix flashlight, not this model, at a gun show years back. i used on the road as a deputy sheriff every day four about seven years. i was completely satisfied with its durability and performance. it the 123 batteries and they lasted about a month with the heavy use i gave it. it has grown dim over the last ten years it did become dimmer as of a couple years ago, but it still produces enough light that i keep it as a back task light in my edc bag. im just a dirt road deputy from south georgia so i have no affiliation with the brand i just feel strongly about a dependable flashlight.

Update

I spent some time using the PD-35 over the holidays, stuck in an ice storm way back in the woods:
.
The light is so versatile that their are several in the family now. The low settings are used mostly so battery life is great, the higher settings can be offensive to the eyes in close areas. Turbo (850 lumens) and high (450 lumens) do an excellent job out in the open especially for such a small pocket light, I am using the .99 cent cr 123 batteries and getting good life even in 0 deg cold..
.
You can put the optional diffuser tip on the PD-35 and have a cool campsite lantern or "a bedroom light in an ice storm"............

I have the predecessor PD-32, it's an excellent, excellent flashlight. You have to plan a bit for the CR-123 batteries but it makes for a very nice tight package. It, and my Leatherman, are always in my backpack that I take everywhere with me.

I also bought two of these for my sons for Christmas, and got them the Panasonic rechargeable batteries and charger.

For the money you spend on a Fenix; you will never find a better light. They are very functional, well built, high quality lights. I have all three of the Fenix lights discussed here. PD30, PD32, PD35. The PD30 is no longer produced. All of these lights can be run on the 18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries.
Fenix is also know for their great customer service. If you have a problem with one of their lights; they will take care of it for you.

I love their lights. I have 3 or 4. I have always stayed away from the cr 123. But any of the ones that take 2A and 3A(cant remember which models I have) are great. Never had to warranty one yet. Always lose them first. They are priced well on Amazon.
