This 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition was purchased by the seller in 2013. It has been professionally modified for off-pavement use and has approximately 132,000 miles on the odometer. The truck runs great and feels solid on the road, and performs exceptionally well in the dirt. It is sold with a clear Vermont state title.

The body has a few dings and the paint features some pin striping as expected with trail use. The body panels align well and are free of major defects. The ARB locking differentials and on-board air compressor are fully functional.

Inside, the current owner has installed Wet Okole seat covers to hide a small tear in the passenger seat and prevent additional interior wear and tear. The rear seats and headliner are in good shape and Weather Tech floor mats have been fitted in both the front and rear of the vehicle. Gauges all work as they should and a Scan Gauge II has been added for speedometer correction. An aftermarket head unit has been installed and adds bluetooth calling, music streaming, a DVD movie player and a back up camera. Bluetooth calling has been nicely integrated into the steering wheel controls.

This 4Runner is motivated by a 4.0-liter V6 good for 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five speed automatic. Gearing has been changed to a 4.56 ratio to keep the transmission shift points on target while turning the new 285/70/17 (33”) all terrain tires.

Underneath, the 4Runner’s robust body-on-frame design appears to be in good shape with no serious corrosion visible aside from the Old Man Emu rear shocks which function well but could use replacement. Full steel RCI skid plates have been fitted to protect the engine, transmission, transfer case and gas tank from trail damage.

The front and rear bumpers have recently been sandblasted and resprayed and feature a nearly new Warn M8000 winch with synthetic line and a pair of JW Speaker LED flood lights.

The owner is selling the vehicle to free up cash for a start-up. The vehicle is priced at $16,000 and is located in South Burlington, Vermont. Contact Matt at matthew.burzon@gmail.com or (802) 222-1929.

I made a video for those that are interested but unable to see the truck in person due to geographical limitations.

Dear reader,

I've decided to take the truck off the market. The circle of friends I've made through owning this truck, the incredible times I've had and places I've seen, and lastly the condition and driveability of the truck itself are worth way more than the $16k cash I was hoping to get with a sale. I hope the good business, good times and good health continue so I can enjoy this Toyota well into the future.

Cheers,

Matt
