New to me 2005 Montero for daily duty

As of January this year, my Gen2 has primarily served as my weekend truck (commuting on 37's ain't the brightest idea in world;)) and I've been driving the wife's CRV as my M-F daily. After about a month of driving the emasculating CRV (just kidding they're great cars) I convinced the wife we should get a Gen3 for kid, grocery, road trip duty. It's been a pretty fruitless endeavor which spanned multiple states and multiple missed opportunities.

Most recently, I missed out on buying a sweet Gen3 I had found in Cali and out of frustration just typed a simple google search for 2005 Montero and this popped up less than 5 miles away.....talk about lucky.....

74,000 miles, absolutely pristine interior, one owner, garage kept and only driven in AZ winters (snowbird that only lived here 8 months out of year). Needless to say we bought it. ;)

A buddy from the local Montero collective here in AZ has graciously donated his OEM wheels (which are being powder-coated) and I'd like to paint the two-tone so that it's all white. Since this will serve primarily as road warrior I certainly won't get as crazy as I did with my '97 SR.........but there will be few goodies tacked on.

Wow, its like that truck was in a time capsule. Nice find and have fun with it. Do mind me asking what something like that sold for? I bet it was a steal for how much enjoyment you'll get out of it!!

You nailed it. It literally looks like it’s been in time capsule. It was owned by snowbird who lived here in AZ and only drove it during winter, and garaged it when it sat idle. The engine bay is as clean or cleaner than cars that are only few years old.

Looks great. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? There is a similar one for sale near me ('05 Limited, 38k, etc) and I just want to know what I should expect. Feel free to PM me if you want.

Thanks!

Yeah. Hard to believe but that's what it's listed at. There's no photos listed yet but I'm going to email them or check it out in person at the dealership. Going to also ask for any service records too because that's important for that age and mileage.
