Stopped by the dealer today and checked out one of the engineering prototype 110's they have on display. First impressions are very good, look forward to seeing more of them. View attachment 588919View attachment 588920View attachment 588921View attachment 588922View attachment 588923
It's slowly growing on me. I didn't love the front end, especially how the center section protrudes forward. However, after seeing my buddy' '93 NAS D110, I realized that the center section of that grill also protrudes. Still don't love it, but at least I understand it.

Brace yourselves, looks like the service interval is 2 years/21,000 miles (in the UK)

A new owner in England posted some nice pics of his Fuji White D240 110 - since there haven't been a lot of pics of white ones yet I thought I'd share.
He has the 18" alloys with all terrain tires on this truck - same wheels that I have on my build.

I love that shot with the trunk... sorry, "boot" doors open. A lot of people complained about how narrow the opening was, but it was even narrower on the classic.

But not as tall - doesn't look like a washing machine or dryer will still fit upright like in the old Defender and Discovery... One more reason to hate the new truck!

I would change it way before then. I think that’s the main reason the 5.0Land 3.0L petrols have timing chain issues even with updated guides.

Except the diesels destroy the oil and shortly after the engines before 10000 miles. Very well documented. The computer will force an oil change by 5000 miles.

Indeed, the DS and Evoque owners have been battling with LR to acknowledge that there is a problem with the Ingenium diesel engine and the failed DPF regens leading to oil dilution.

I read somewhere that the location DPF on those models was compromised due to their transverse layout.

AFAIK, the Defender has a longitudinal engine layout, so maybe the DPF regen and oil dilution issues will not be as severe?

Only time will tell...
