I'll bring this info down here and update with latest info. Has anyone purchased a HM awning from USA? If so, let me have the vendor info.

Thx.

Last I checked close to a month ago the US dealer Sierra Expeditions was going to bring in Howling moon 270s. I heard the same thing last year, won't hold my breath.

OVS 270 LT 53lbs. $699
Has anyone reviewed this lighter version yet?
It looks like it squares up with the back of the vehicle better.

Last year Howling moon 270s also wasn't available in that UK shop where I finally bought it. They told me that shipping from Australia to UK was in progress but finally it arrive to them :)
As I heard Howling moon had some issues and they stopped manufacturing then it has changed owner and manufacturing was restored ... so probably that's why it wasn't available in UK and in US last year

found this info here:

I just ordered it this morning for $599
OVS LT (lighter model) 53lbs

I'm really liking this LT model and was hoping for more coverage on the rear but you can't have everything. The pole-less feature is still looking good to me. Did the vendor give you an ETA?

It's just so small though. If you look at the pictures compared to the normal 270. You can totally go "pole-less" on the larger model too. I've found that my using ratchet straps (instead of the normal buckle straps), I can get the whole thing tight enough to be open without poles with zero problems. The only time I'll put the poles down is if we're staying out overnight or if there's wind/rain.

I am trying to keep the weight down to use quick release brackets.
Additionally, I cant get into my garage with an awning permanently attached.
I took some measurements and on the Jeep Wrangler JKU it will put the awning about midway on the drivers door.

An observation: I looked at 23zero today in person. It is very nice. It did seem a bit cumbersome to pack with arms at the front and rear (much easier with 2 people). What is the experience of 23zero owners? Also, the hardware on the awning arms is high quality. Each box tube has cast aluminum fittings on the pivot end and the bracket they mount in is also aluminum. By comparison with online pictures, the OVS has welded aluminum ends and steel brackets. OTOH the OVS has an extra arm in the rear for more coverage (and potential interference with lift-gate rigs).

Those of you with the OVS awning, do you have a way to measure the weight of the awning plus the brackets? I keep seeing 72# but I wonder if that's the shipping weight that includes packaging, cardboard, etc.

I saw an OVS in person yesterday and I liked it.
