Hi,

I need to replace my rear axle on my 2000 e350 quigley. I want to replace the whole thing. Build sheet says it is the stock rear. Any recs on suppliers? Especially those that can ship quick? I’m in chicago. Thanks.

thanks, I'll check them out. When calling around, I've been asked a few questions I'm not sure how to answer/find out. I know the axle code is c2 4.10 limited slip according to the build sheet, but I don't know if that is full float or semi float, and I don't know the gear ring diameter. Is there a way to tell without opening the diff?

I just had my rear end rebuilt in my 2000 E350 Quigley. It has the 4.10 as well and is a full float D-60. Compare with pictures of the hub section between your rear wheel lug nuts online to confirm if yours is as well. A full float sticks way out similar to the front if your front is manual locking like mine.

The ring gear part number my guy used is a "DAN24807-5X". This pirate4x4 sheet lists it as a 9.75" diameter ring.

We replaced the Ford Posi (LSD) with a 32 spline Power Lock as that one should work better and can be easily rebuilt later on. If I had to do it again I would have sourced a F-series rear though if possible. The vans run a 32 spline axle and parts are harder to find. The F-series use the more standard 35 spline. I'm not sure if the spring perches are in the same place though, but someone can chime in here I'm sure to confirm.
