My GMRS license was about 2 days, my Ham license was just over 4 weeks.
Sent by electrons or some crap like that.

HAM license can be extremely variable, lots of clubs that do the testing and stuff all end up syncing up testing schedules either on purpose or just cirumstance and sometimes there will be a ton of applications flooding in, or sometimes its just whoever was testing with you that day..
Keep checking FCC site, IIRC I had my Call Sign and license registered within a few days but the physical copy came in the mail a week or two later.. then I found HRO dont sync there internal DB that frequently because I went in soon after I got licensed to buy some gear and they couldent find my callsign.
