Mounting JB Falcon

I have been considering James Baroud Falcon Awning to go with my JB Explorer tent. Unfortunately I have no possibility to see one in person, so I have to trust the information that I may find online.

I have been using Thule Bars with my tent (and regular JB Awning) so far. Would it be feasible to attach the Falcon awning to the roof bars or would a roof rack be necessary? We stay on the roads so rough terrain feasibility is less important.

I've been very impressed with Rino Rack awnings and have seen and used them in person.

With James Baroud, I've been less than impressed.

That beings said, I would fabricate mounting brackets for use with the Thule bars no matter the awnings you go with. Even though you would only be on the road, you might want to make them stout as road / wind vibration are greater than most people appreciate.
