Monteros on craigslist

Just found this great thread. Any reason why that silver 2005 in Phoenix is still available 2.5 weeks later? Is 7500 high for that year? Looks super clean...and tempting. I love my 1983 FJ60, but these Monteros keep looking better and better.

Not just poorly described, wrong. I don’t think it can be a 98, wrong fenders and SR was not used then.Maybe a 96 or 97, not sure if box fenders appeared in 97 or 98.

Poorly described in the title and details are nonexistent. This is the same seller I bought my 99 from a while ago. I can check it out, as I'll be by his place sometime to finish removing the fender on the white 99 in the background to replace mine.

Here are the ones I've found lately

Interested to hear what others think of these and the ones posted by Taylor1. I'm in the market for either a gen 1 or gen 2. Would be a daily driver and weekend warrior, mostly for family camping at first with longer trips in the future.

Asked about the one in Sarasota. Single owner and they have the maintenance records (according to seller). Saw pic of last timing belt change and it didn't show that a new tensioner was used.

Also, owner says it is consuming (or burning) about 1 quart every 1200 miles.

And, owner says the radiator is leaking.
