Creighton Fabrication here in Ramona came up with this aluminum rack. To support a 4th 160 watt solar panel. Looks beautiful. Will be powder coating it black. Not sure if it makes the van look meaner or like something else..!? They also trimmed back the two front fenders to avoid tire rub

Finally 640 watts of 12v panels. Mounted up and wired in. Front custom spoiler powder coated satin black and does the job. I could not hear any whistles or wind noises cruising around.

New EGT gauge. Turns out whoever installed the old one…had the wires backwards. So now there is an extra. Also new egt probe and lead wires.

New front door on door weatherstripping both driver and passenger sides.

Side entry step. All painted. Clean. Some Noico sound deadener and new stainless screws for the plastic step.

New front drivers and and passenger inner plastic fender liners. Creightnon fabrication pushed back the lower fender because the old liners had been pulled up by the 31” tires on the bottom. Now no rubbing. The rims can handle 33” safely. So if anyone had this down the road it can run 33” now. But the 31” KO2s on it now have only 1500miles or less.

Dry fitting the cold and hot water lines.

It’s kinda cool you’ve got an exhaust brake. Do you find it useful? My Ambo didn’t come equipped with one.
Yes its cool. But I have not used it. It gets power. But the flange wont move. I havent made it a priority. I think it just needs to be broken free. And the switch by the gas pedal needs to be adjusted.

Well. Its back out in the wild. Storage served its purpose. Now its on the street. Was fun to give it a nice drive

Tracks perfectly straight
cruise control works
Just turned 110K miles on the way home
Seat brackets are getting powder coated
Rode home on milk crate

I really want to pull apart the cab and freshen it up like you’ve just done… but no time for it yet. Higher priorities, so it’ll have to wait.

whats your priority in your rig? For me the biggest thing is time and energy. I work quite a bit. So this build is taking forever….

My priority is my other rig. The 350 in My 40 series needs a valve adjustment to be drivable again. If that doesn’t resolve or improve the tap issue, perhaps a cam & lifters. If the intake is off, I have TPI to install. Also I need to swap the front 3rd and rebuild the front knuckles to be able to actually use 4wd… and so on.

The ambulance is fully operating and doesn’t really need anything. There are a couple minor things and a couple cosmetic things. Other than that it’s close enough to perfect. So it’s way down the priority list.

I also have no time, energy, or money to spend on it… other than the rear sway bar… that I’m picking away at.

Side storage door all complete. Powder coated cover. New screws. Sealed up etc. new keys and locks for the cylinders also.

for a side by side kinda comparison to the Revel. Obviously mine is smaller, height and floor space. But I have more solar and battery power and much less sticker price lol.
