Ever wonder what a diesel leak looks like. The left bank lower pressure return line cracked. So I replaced both right and left banks.

Butyl backed foil is going in. It was rather noisy before with just a small area of jute under the vinyl carpet. I will also do the interior of the dog house. I have some 315mm waterproof closed cell membrane foam I may or may also lay down prior to my new vinyl molded cockpit sheet. I think thats better than real carpet with fibers that will trap dust, dirt and spills etc etc.

I put down three coats of por 15 prior to butyl

Great progress!! All the hours put into insulation make huge differences to comfort...I daily drive Yolanda and I'm glad she's so much quieter inside than stock!!

I removed the transfer case lever, it made it so I could lay the new front flooring flat....that was probably the easiest thing about installing this stuff. Heat gun is a must have!

For me its all in the details. Front license plate with the correct fasteners from the junkyard. I also grabbed front passenger body weatherstripping.

I also removed the dog house to cut the vinyl correctly. I removed the weather stripping from the dog house. It was rather dirty...I just want things clean clean clean since its apart now. 😎

Its an older version, but this is the BD exhaust brake setup, part of it. A couple relays, wires and a vaccuum coil. The actual exhaust brake unit on the exhaust pipe gets its voltage, but does not actuate. There is also a spring loaded sensor mounted above the accel. pedal. I dont know when Ill get around to diagnosing it further. If I lived in hills and towed a lot I would bump it up on the priority list.

Working a bit late today. But I coated the entire inside of the dog house with butyl backed foil. I laid it over original insulation in the dog house. Edges were tricky.

Its added some good weight which will help reduce noise and such in the cabin. Found a piece of paper for the interior of Dec 1994 build.

The seat bases are black and has this sticker. Im thinking of painting the bases but covering this sticker with masking tape Since its all apart now. I figure I should.
