Thank you. You answered my next question re how to take along bikes with the Mission Overland. I was wondering that as well.

I found out that the cap to fill the water tank is not dust proof.
The fill neck fills up with dust after a short time on a dirt road.
Unfortunately there's no way to clean that out before filling up with water.

The dirt will just fall to the bottom of the tank so it should not be an issue.

Mark has been working his butt off to set up arrangements with various dealers all over down here in the States. If you look at his site on Facebook you'll see that he typically is now producing ~10 trailers at a time. He ships them down on commercial flatbeds so can get them across the border. I know that before being able to sell here he had to meet all the federal standards and had worked really hard to do so. I think all his hard work is starting to pay off. I still believe this is the best trailer built in North America. Wish this Covid issue would clear up so Nanc and I could feel safe going out again.
My wife and I have been out for six weeks now. The roads are crowded as are the RV parks and campgrounds. There is really nothing to fear being outside and in the sun.

Some pictures from the Magruder Corridor trail. 113 miles of rough narrow road. The trailer did well. I aired down the tires do 20 lbs. I think the next trail I'll go down to 15 lbs.

You two are living the life Mike! I've done the Magruder Corridor a number of times over the years, but never with Beastie. And it is dang near in my back yard! You came up all the way from Texas to experience it. Good show! We still plan on getting over into northern Idaho in a couple of weeks. Have a bunch of stuff to do around the house and garden before then. Can't wait to emulate your journey.

Well we detoured a bit to do the trail. It was great but in retrospect foolhardy to do it in a trailer alone. Much of the road is a single track either uphill or downhill with no passing room.

At one point a guy in an ATV said he would go ahead and stop anyone until we got pass. That worked with two vehicles but then he went a different way. It was by the grace if God we did not meet anyone on the road. The next time I'll go with someone else and inchworm our way while taking on the radios.

I never heard a single person on either CB, GMRS or Ham.

Another thing I will do is get my Idaho fishing licence . There is a lot of prime fly fishing river running along some of the road.

I wouldn’t tolerate that, you’re eventually going to end up a tank full of mud. Should be a simple fix, find a hardware store buy a gasket that fits the cap.

Well when I get to a hardware store I'll look into that. I do drain and rinse the tank after every trip.

Anyone else notice their tires prematurely wearing?

I have less than 10, 000 miles on these tires and the insides are already worn down past the wear bars.

As you can see , mine are worn down on the inside. Either bad tires or some suspension defect.
Mike, what tires are those? I am running BFG All Terrain KO2’s. Went with the same size as on my on my 4Runner 255/75R17s and really like them.

They are the stock tires. Sure Trac A/T Mark says it is not an issue but I strongly disagree. Tires on a trailer like this should last almost forever.

I am assuming your Timbren needs an alignment. Not really a defect, just something that needs to be done every once in a while, especially if used hard. Does it look like the top of the wheel is leaning inside or outside?
