It is an 9 year old, custom built A class vehicle built by a coach-builder on a left hand drive Mercedes Benz 1124AF chassis. This chassis is designed for use as an off-road fire engine chassis and so has stronger springs and a higher output alternator as standard. In addition it uses the Euro 2 engine without the electronic controls and comes with an automatic gearbox.
