Finally got software to program my radio. While setting up the file from the ARRL repeater guide for SLC, Utah & northern Nevada, I remember how many are listed for Denver and of those the relatively smaller number that I would consider heavily monitored at any time. Say there's 40 combined 2m and 70cm open repeaters listed for Denver/Boulder, of those I would estimate that there are maybe 6 that I would consider key to a traveler and another 6 that have a reasonable chance of making a contact.
So I thought I would start a thread where I'd ask a reply to list a major city, major geographic area, state or region. Then for that region list key or useful repeaters or simplex frequencies and any necessary PL tones. A list to a repeater group website, owner's website, etc. would also be handy, but not necessary. I'll reply with a few Denver ones as an example.
Not asking for exhaustive lists, but your common ragchew repeaters that guarantee someone rolling through could ask a question about directions, parts houses, grocery or the like and there is very likely someone listening.
Include stuff like:
Town/City:
Region:
State:
Frequency:
Offset:
PL Tone:
