Lifespan of a Whynter fm-62dz

Congratulations. I have an EdgeStar, which is a rebadged Whynter, that I bought in 2009. It's been all over the back country, and when it's at home it's in constant use as a freezer. It's been running almost constantly now for 11 years without a hiccup. I wish I could say the same for my Engel which has never been off road.

Being you have gotten 11 years out of your Edgestar problem free, why would you change to another brand? I also have an Edgestar (43) that I bought used 6 or 7 years ago and works flawlessly. When its not in the back of my truck I use it for a beer fridge in my basement. It has been powered either by AC or DC for the entire time I've owned it. Its probably 10 years old at this point.
