Been fun looking at all the combos of rigs and trailers.

I have a couple to choose from that can be set up in a few different configurations depending on what kind of trip I'm going on

Like to Camp
I've posted a few of these pictures elsewhere, but I thought I'd add them to this thread.

A friend of mine professionally builds KOH buggies (among other things), and I asked him if he'd build me a trailer to make camping more enjoyable as so little fits in the back of a Jeep TJ (lol). I gave him the specs of a 3' x 5' x 2' box trailer, with leaf springs, shocks, 3500# axle, electric brakes, lockable lid, tailgate, sprayed with a bed liner, and matching 32" tires to my Jeep TJ.

I had setup my TJ with a 7-way wiring harness and brake controller, and then added a Tepui Ayer tent on top of the trailer, blue-top battery and inverter, and a propane tank. The trailers tows great! It's stable at 70-75 mph, and it's great that the trailer has its own brakes. I towed it 4200 miles last September on a trip to Utah. Loaded it weighs about 1100#s.

This kind of a setup is something that I've thought about since I was a teenager. (It just took a few years... :D)

How is your tent centered, I also have a kayak and RTT that i want to but on top of trailer. Kayak is a jackson Big Tuna.
thanks

As it is, we were more on a long vacation set-up than a trail set-up, but still, It was able to mannage sand trails in dunes (34"x12.5" tires really helped it float on sand).

34"x12.5" tires really helped it float on sand, even loaded as it was for that multi sport, multi-day trip and the 5 35" bogger tires loaded in the tub.

It as been a work in progress for the last 7 years.

With everything on the same bars, the rtt is off center but at the limit of the width of the trailer (Maybe 1 or 2 inch overhang). The upper portion of the trailer as the same width of a jeep tub. I have to admit that the left kayak is a bit in my driver side mirror, but I can still see rear trafic pretty easly. But it will depend on the thickness of your kayak compare to mines. But if it is only for 1 kayak, I do not see why it would not work.

Well....picked this up in January from a fellow Expo member...got the new hubs that are 5x5 lugs on them this weekend along with steel wheels and 255/75/17 Cooper St Maxx tires....prolly just use it as a utility trailer for a while until I decide otherwise...

1) Paint job...
