I wanted to start a thread cataloging the Series Rovers on this board and the modifications and repairs that have been made.

I have had several series trucks over the years but my favorite was my 1969 88". I wish I had never sold it. If anyone spots her let me know, I'd like to try and buy it back. The first picture is of the 88 the way I bought it, the second picture is blury becuase it's a picture of a picture but it's the finished product of the above truck.

My next favorite was a 1968 109sw that I had for a few years. I bought it in pretty poor shape and returned her to life.

Here ya go.. its a 1980 and within the next 2 weeks a full suspension overhaul will happen.

As of now I have rebuilt the steering box
Tuned and replaced hoses
fixed the previous owners retarded mistakes
fixed a few leaks (few more to do)
added some cute stuff and is now a daily driver and getting ready for its first overland trip to Mexico next christmas

These pics were of my first test run after I have fixed everything.

Please excuse the FJ its my friends and he hasn't converted yet :)

Nice Series!!!!!

Here's mine again..

It's a '65 model and not very original any more..

it's got:
- 3.4 Landcruiser diesel
- H41 landcruiser gearbox and T/case
- Range Rover axles
- Rangie brake booster/M.C.
- Parabolics, 3leaf rears on the front and 4 leafs at the rear.
- 14" travel bilstein shocks
- custom props with 180mm slider in the front and 110mm in the back, high angle u-joints.
- full camping gear

Next year I want to buy the Orion 4:1 T/case to get some proper gearing and power steering too..

Heated seats, heated wing mirrors, Defender TD5 cab heater, engine pre-heater (and no draughts from the Defender doors and seals). After five minutes on full heat, in the middle of winter, I usually have to turn the heater off it gets so warm!

Galvanized frame, 2.5l petrol Rover 4 cyl, overdrive, Defender Seats, solid body. Finally sorted through the wiring (turns out the short I was hunting was in the bulb!) next is line is the t-case gasket and a slight brake cylinder weap in the front right. Nice driver.
