How does it hold up in rain? And do you have to park with the rear end higher to keep water from running between the tent and liftgate down onto the sleeping area?

If you're asking about the Campteq, it's bone dry in the rain. The sleeping platform is atop the roof, not in the truck (the roof's not cut out). The liftgate is closed when I sleep, so, no, there's no risk of leaking as you describe, and no need to park rear end higher.
