Finally Decided to sell My series Land Rover as I’m looking for a more suitable travel vehicle. It’s a original factory 7 seater and in the time had all the extras, tinted windows, special colour and body stripe, plush seats, overdrive, free wheeling hubs and of course the safari roof.
Left Hand Drive and only 3 owners inc myself.
Shes from 1984 with the 2,25 diesel N/A motor 4 speed standard LR 4x4 with free wheeling hubs at the front and rather desirable overdrive. Overall she’s in good condition. Still retains her original factory chassis which I believe helps in certain states. However both ends have been replaced and a few patches. The body is only let down by the dent on the rear quarter. Both front door tops are replaced and the doors lightly restored.
The paint work is original with great patina, interior is also in great condition, only the dashboard is cracked and several non standard switches have been installed over the years.
Mechanical shes just fine, had a rebuilt transmission several years ago and like all LR products she leaks a little... over the years I’ve replaced several parts including all lights, hoses, brakes, windows, full service, all oils etc...
Known problem are the brakes need a bleeding again, which I hope to get too, 3 of the Firestone’s super all traction tyres show signs of age and have cracks. The hazard lights needs attention.
