It was an absolutely epic day in Southern Utah. I drove to Moab via the Burr Trail instead of going over Boulder Mountain. The plow had beat me to it by just a little bit, but I caught up to him at the bottom of the switchbacks. I had first tracks all the way to HWY 24.

Would this be considered a tilt-shift shot? Looks miniature.

what did you use for your Marmot commercial?

as always, love your work and thank you for sharing. No doubt you've inspired countless others. Your respect for artifacts and reverence for the land and those relics/ruins left to us to wonder about is exemplary. Clearly your art illustrates your appreciation for the subjects themselves and not what others might make of them. It is unfortunate everyone doesn't display the same model of regard and thoughtfulness while they travel and deny the compulsion to take from or intrude on landscapes and monuments etc

curious, what did you use for gear ( camera ) to record the Marmot video?

thanks

Thanks for the kind words.

I used the Canon 5D Mark II with a a 24- 70mm 2.8 L lens and the 70-200mm 2.8L lens. We down converted it from the native 30p to 24p to give it a smoother feel.

Just a a day of location scouting and checking on the conditions in and around Canyonlands. Shafer trail was closed, but all others were open and ready for some exploring.
