$21,750 to convert a $80,000 LC 200 into a flatbed pickup?

However you think a LC 200 is superior to a Tundra Crew Cab, it makes zero sense to spend DOUBLE the money to end up with essentially the same thing

I wonder how many Tundra crew cabs are sold every year in Australia where this LC200 conversion was performed?

Uh, zero maybe?

You can buy Toyota Tundras in Australia as gray market imports.

Right hand drive Tundras.

There are lots of them, new and used. They are quite popular.

Aren't the Tundra's including the RHD conversion run upwards of $125K+ AUD.

Even used ones are over $110 AUD.

Plus no diesel or manual trans in the Tundra.

Looks like the LC200 would be cheaper to convert to a ute bed, than importing/converting a Tundra to RHD. That is if you were
to go new...still even looks like a new LC200 ute is cheaper than the what is on the used market.

I still dont see it when you can get new 70s in dual cab and bed setups ? for around $60k

that seem to be better than the LC200 as a ute ? cheaper and better stock options and offerings and more utilitarian ?

A new Land Cruiser 200 'Sahara' 4.6 Gasoline Automatic is $115K in Australia
Plus $22K extended wheelbase flatbed conversion (no other options)
So $137K for a gas powered leather interior new Land Cruiser

The RHD white leather interior Tundra Crew Max 'Platinum' 5.7L Gasoline Automatic I featured is NEW at $123K

That's $14K less than a butchered LC

Of course here in the US a Tundra Crew Max Platinum is<$50K....

going off your original numbers.

you can get a LC200 GX/GXL/VX and still be in the same ballpark as Tundra.

http://www.toyota.com.au/landcruiser-200/prices

still both are kinda goofy pricewise, when a 70 series is available as Honu is saying. (...and I agree with him)

I would pass on leather interior, it is quite horrid for hot climes. I don't think the 200 or the Tundra has vented
seats.

The GX LC200 (or Tundra) with cloth is what you want.
