I'm particularly fond of Busse, and often carry a Game Warden when out on the trail:

anyone have an SOG wooline small or folder?

if so, what do you think of it?
I can't speak to the woodline specifically, but their other knives are good solid workhorses. I've carried and abused a Flash II (folder) almost every day for the past 3 years and it is still as solid as the day I bought it. It holds an edge for a surprisingly long time too.

I got a Marbles Woodcraft from the late 90s, when they were still made in Michigan. No wonder steel but a decent steel still. I was surprised how much I like it. I have several Puukos that are a classic knife that is hard to beat. My Aito Puukko with Bark Handle from Iisakki Järvenpää is the cats meow in a small blade. I will also be trying out a Condor Nessmuck this summer. Interesting design for the camp and inexpensive, but you need to smooth the handle and put a decent cutting edge on it. Not good for food prep right out of the box, for the price you can mod it to your hearts desire.:)

I can attest to the quality of the BG knives.
There is a guy at work who is a knife aficionado, and he liked my $22 BG knife, and also liked that it had studs to tighten the blade should it ever get loose.

And those at work who have felt how sharp the blade is are pretty amazed for what I got for $22.

Mine gets used hard every day at work, and it is still razor sharp.

So I am watching the two new episodes of Man VS Wild, and the first new episode of the season had a movie star that played in the movie JarHead, and he used the BG fire starter to ignite a cotton ball Bear was holding to get a candle lit.

Episode two shows Bear using this BG knife to cut some parachute cord to make some leg slings to cross a raging river in New Zealand, and getting some grubs out of some dead wood.

Nice to see him actually using his name branded gear on the show.

Meh, product placement. Doesn't mean he actually uses those. Even if they were a pile of crap of course he would use them on the show to plug his product.

Disclaimer: Before you tightwads get all uppity, I am not saying they are or are not crap! I am saying him using them on his show is an obvious "free" plug for his own product. Nothing more. If it were my show I would be waving it around 700 times an episode!

Edit: I have a SOG field pup. I love it. It is light weight and I de-boned two elk with it before needing a sharpening. It even cut right through both breast plates!

The Spyderco Delica 4 has been my EDC pocket knife for several years.
I recently picked up an Esee Izula II and it's a great pocket fixed blade.

They are made in Alabama and have the best warranty I've seen. If it is ever broken, they replace it. Period. It doesn't matter how many owners it goes through or if it is broken doing something stupid. The owners/designers are survival instructors, who teach classes in North and South America. I have a few of their other knives on the way as well as their firekit.

I have used a SOG Seal Pup Elite and Buck 119 for a while now. I just received my Mora 2 knife in the mail yesterday and look forward to it. Obviously it wont be the same and the much larger bladed knives but it will have some advantages over them. Cody Lundin seems to a lot with his small knife but he has a lot of knowledge to know how to do it, I hope to learn some of that,

Here is my latest knife purchase, a Benchmade 10502. I really like this knife, I took my Lansky to it and it is crazy sharp. I'm carrying this in my hunting pack, looking forward to field dressing an elk with it this fall.
