We have pretty much the same camper. Ours is a 2014 Rockwood A127TH. Looking forward to seeing where you take yours.

Nice ?? yes, very similar! We’re really excited to get some distance on FL and get off-road. We’ll post up some pics every few days I think.

Have fun. What route are you taking from TX to WA?
Thanks CK. We are in Athens TX today and Amarillo tomorrow. Headed through DFW to Amarillo, then north to Denver, through Garden of the Gods or Flaming Gorge (I don’t remember which) then into RMNP for a few days, across to Yellowstone and then over to WA through Spokane to spend some time around Leavenworth and Mt. Raneir. We are also driving the Alpine Loop and some other trails on the way back down.

If you stop over in Amarillo, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a good place to visit. Also nearby, Caprock Canyons SP has a wild bison herd and wild prairie dog village.

Driving Rampart Range Road tomorrow to Denver out of Garden of the gods in Colorado Springs. Wanted to post up some more camping spot pics and a preview.

These pics are out of sequence but they are all of Garden of the gods or Rampart Range Road. Rampart Range Road was a bit of a letdown but only because of our Flagstaff SE hard sided pop up camper not being as dust tight and as well put together as we had hoped. The first third of the road was great, smooth and nice, great views and not much traffic. The middle third was heavy washboard which could have been ok if not for towing the trailer. Towing the trailer made it a very slow and jarring process. The final third had pretty heavy traffic with a lot of orv trailering and dispersed camping traffic. We identified a few things in the camper that can be made better and fixed everything that came apart that night or the next day.

Jones Pass the next day made up for all the disappointment of Rampart Range Road and then some. A slow but easy rocky drive to the fantastic summit and underlying gorgeous Alpine basin.

A few more pics of Jones Pass. Airing down, sharing the parking area at the trailhead with other Tacoma’s, and on to Green Ridge campground on Shadow Mountain Lake just outside RMNP. 218F92EE-A1FA-428E-9FA7-6E548CE1808F.jpegC92F7F22-C2CD-4F47-999E-C2820EC9CA74.jpeg265B2FD0-C389-4843-923F-297B24C31284.jpeg57710250-DDED-4A66-B413-04BCD69D781D.jpeg97B8FFC2-500C-43D8-BA4C-AD0DA6046DFA.jpeg
