Jeep MJ Comanche truck bed tent trailer

I picked up this home made Jeep MJ Comanche truckbed trailer with a old school heavy canvas tent. For the price it felt like a amazing deal, $1300. The trailer needs some work, it still has the original MJ 8.25" axle and worn out suspension, I want to rework to the tongue by making it a little longer, off-road style hitch, replace the axle with a trailer axle, and maybe built a actual trailer frame to set the bed on. The tent it old but in amazing condition, there is no branding and the guy I bought it from didn't know who made it. There is a very large awning that zips to the side with side wall panels and Velcro mesh floor panel, making it fully enclosed. The really old school part is the really heavy steel poles that slide out and a bolt to tighten to lock in place and the canvas is very thick/heavy. The basic set up is easy, about 15-30 mins to get it opened up and all poles adjusted, haven't tried to attached the side awning yet and it doesn't like it's ever be attached. The mattress feels nice and thick but I haven't slept on it yet. I had a CVT Mt. Rainer on a M103 trailer, my first thoughts is that it's going to be very warm during the summer but I have a few battery fans to help when needed.

Does anyone know who made this style tent?

It looks like a Cub Camper or a Kimberly Kamper, both have little to no presence in the US. I’m not sure if there was ever a US manufacturer that offered something similar. Those heavy canvas tents are nice though.
