Recently widowed. Looking to more easily escape the...hardships of life with my 2 young sons and enjoy some time with them.
Looking for a popup lightweight setup for a Ram 1500. 5’7” bed so the GFC or drifter should fit.

Semi new to this so I am open to hearing about alternatives.

Budget is only about $6000. I know that’s a little low, but hoping to score a deal.

I am located in Northern CA. able to travel about 200-250 miles to meet and pick up.
thanks.

Sorry for you hardship. I would go with the vagabond preferably no side win-doors for more storage. Vagabond is made in California and are easy to insulate if needed. A gfc was made to travel fast and light. But having two sons. I would consider something more practical like a 16'to20 used travel trailer more bangin room for the buck.

Just an FYI, the Drifter model is for mid-size trucks - tacoma, frontier, colorado, etc. The Nomad model is for full-size pickups.
