In fact aftermarket service is a really critical differentiating factor in choosing what to buy
I remember reading that thread when I was shopping, but I hadn't seen Paul's comments about the differences in production. Maybe the Ironman folks decided to change their product to more closely match the Indel B at some point. ?‍♀️

I would've preferred the tests be run under the same conditions, but I've had no surprises from my Indel B. Good product.

Yes I would not avoid Ironman just because they aren't made by Indel B.

If an Indel B distribution channel offered that sort of long-term support, and was price competitive, maybe.

But that kind of support is very rare!

Like I said, I'm pretty happy to find a parts source.

I haven't needed anything, but as you mentioned, treating these fridges as semi-disposable doesn't have to happen.
