Iphone or Ipad

I already have the macbook pro 13". The verizon guy told me since I already have the macbook that an Ipad is pretty much useless. The cool thing with the phone is that it can be used as a hotspot for both the wife and I while on the road. Plus I like the fact that it's pretty much an Ipod with a phone App. Whats your guy's opinion on the subject.

The iphone only works as a hotspot with the top-tier internet plan, in other words, the most expensive..

If a hotspot is what you're looking for, go with the Verizon my-fi hot spot in 4G. Or the Clear.com hotspot... Much faster than 3G, and will provide internet for up to 5 devices.

The Macbook pro with itunes on it is full computer with an ipod in it!

FYI: Apple does not like the 4G chipset, it's much larger than the 3G, and consumes a lot more battery, so do not expect the iphone 5 to be 4G compatible..
