Intro along with Morris Mule review

I saw one of these trailers at the Ga National Fair last week equipped with a hard shell RTT similar to a maggiolina. Morris Mule makes a really nice trailer.

I spoke with the rep a pretty good bit and was curious as to how many prospective buyers he had had. I believe he stated three potential sales. I thought this was really sad.

Seems most folks around my area want either a $10 throw away Walmart tent or a $30k coachman TT to go camping in. Both of which sit unused except for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

If you do the research....he has a price point that is substantially lower than other trailers (Trail grade -$4K). Couple that with the build quality and there's no doubt he has a successful endeavor. He told me that he built 82 "mules" in 2015 and as of mid-August 2016, had surpassed that number significantly.

I've been roundtrip from Atlanta to Key West as well as Atlanta to Montana round trip...pulling the Mule. It has about 8,000 miles on it to date. No problems and it pulls great behind the V-6 4Runner.

I'm sold.

I just picked mine up from 380 Trailers in Texas. Called Morris before purchase, super friendly and willing to take the time to answer all your questions. 380 Trailers was great and they have more in stock for the best price I have seen. Drove home 300 miles, trailer towed great. Figuring out next steps...roof top tent first then go from there. Called Morris this morning to discuss mounting Smittybilt Overlander XL on high rack and he walked me through the best way to do it. He knew who I was per our previous conversations and provides a level of customer service that is second to none. The quality of the trailer is excellent, if you are on the fence...just do it. You won’t regret it!

Good to hear they're still putting out a great product. At $4475, the Mule appears to be an excellent value.

I just got my trailer last month and noticed that it is very difficult to put the forward to back fork supports on when I have rack in low position, had to use s mallet to persuade in. Anyone else have this issue? I will call Morris Monday to check with him, just wanted to check and see if anyone has had similar issues or if I am doing something wrong! Just put some 31x10.5x15 Milestar Patagonia MTs!!! Hoping to get this rack situation squared up before I leave for Colorado at end of month.

Not best pics, but here are the tires, upgrade #1. Going to add some supports across top to give Overlander XL some additional support. Thinking of welding the top rack...cutting off forks on front to back bars and welding 2 more supports side to side. As long as squared up think that will be best, thoughts.

Got the welding done and everything came out level. Added the 2 middle supports, lowered vertical supports by about 10”, and cut the L pieces on the end of bars and welded the cut 1” tube to it...drilled holes and now I can use them up, down or not at all. Bad pics again, late finish. Post some more w the tent mounted later.

Done for now. Included pics of L side brackets we did. Turned out well. Now I just need someone to help me lift that Overlander XL up there!
