Picked it up yesterday from Bonner Sports & RV in Jersey Shore, PA. Couldn’t have had a better purchasing and pickup process - great people there.

Appointment was at 11am to pick up the tiny camper; goal was to leave at 7am. Ended up hitting the road at 7:30 and then also hit construction on Rt. 33 and Rt. 80 in PA. Headwinds were fierce, but the changing leaves were perty.

I ended up arriving at 11:20, not terribly late, but a little behind schedule. Was greeted by the delivery specialist, Michael, and we did the walk around and checked that everything worked. Lights, stereo, fridge, AC, heat, doors and locks, etc. Then we hooked her up for the first time, and thankfully the my install of the Redarc brake controller and 7-pin wiring job worked flawlessly. I had no trailer to test it on so this was a total shot in the dark up until the first hookup.

Ended up hitting the road back home around 1:30 PM or so with the deal signed and sealed, funds handed over, and keys in my hand. Stopped at Sheetz for the first meal of the day and some gas and off I went.

Rolled into the driveway at 6pm after stopping to take a nap at a rest stop - and yes, I did sleep in the trailer. So fantastic being able to stop, crack the window and turn the vent fan on and konk out for 20 mins. Pulled great, I was able to maintain 70-75 without an issue, I did find that manually shifting the Jeep on inclines was best, though. Really reluctant to kick down, and there's no tow/haul mode. As for MPG impact, I need to fill the tank today and calculate the impact the trailer has. Really didn't seem too bad, though.

This feels weird and incredibly wasteful but I’m excited to use it and start some adventures.

Looking great! She’s a beauty and Congrats! We love our Silver Moon 2020 Pursue.

Just a few pointers if interested -consider going over every fastener that you can find and add a little Blue loctite and retighten especially on your door sill plates, and loctite the two screws that hold your glass cook top on. Also check and add blue loctite to the (4) bolts that secure your AC unit to the roof and torque to specs.
Looks like you optioned the Dexter 45degree down axle lift which is a plus for a more like independent axle smoother ride. ?? I run 45# in the off road Tredit tires which seems to work fine. Check your lug nuts after 100 miles or so. I torque them at 100#.
FB has a decent IntechRV owners group where I learned a lot of good info mentioned above prior to taking delivery.
Hit me up with a PM if you have any questions I can help with.
Cheers, Congrats and Happy Camping!

I run 25 lbs in mine it sure cuts down the bounce. I’ve made two highway trips from So AZ to OR with no issues and the ac hasn’t come loose again. These are LT tires and the trailer doesn’t weigh much. On the Camino Del Diablo my ac came totally loose broke bolts and striped nuts the roof rack kept it from falling off , that and the ROF behind me saying you have a problem. M

Appreciate the tips - I'll have to go over some screws tomorrow morning, and check the tire pressures, too. I have noticed that my slide out seems to be slightly out of alignment, I may need to call Intech about that. Doesn't seem to close quite right.

Haven't had much of a chance to do much after getting it in the driveway though, been a busy week at work with it being the end of the month.

Planning on taking it down to Massey's Landing for a quick overnight on Rehoboth bay just to get the first night out of the way and start getting an idea of what we'll need to equip it with in terms of gear.

Keep an eye on the galley slide out. I have read where a few have had to be replaced. It’s a PIA to replace, and can be done but you have to go in through the battery compartment. I am as gentle as can be making sure to pull the slide all the way out when deploying it. Then be sure to always push that red button to unlock the slide before sliding it back in place. If you have issues with the slide Intech will make it right. They build each Flyer in about 3-4 days...as per my conversation with Keith at the factory.
Be sure to not over load the rear receiver. I was told by Keith it’s rated for 200#, but now Intech (Brianne via an email) is saying it’s 100# likely due to people over loading them.
Good luck with your shake down..,our first two camping trips were seamless. We really like the ease of towing and maneuvering this little camper.

Good to know. I’ll bring it up then, as it’s hitting the frame of the opening when it retracts.

Also, I found this loose pigtail last night when applying loctite to the lag bolts for the AC unit:

Any idea what it’s to/for? I’ve taped the end so I don’t have exposed wire but it feeds into the structure and isn’t connected to anything on this end.

That wire does nothing. Sounds strange but this was the answer I got from Intech warranty service - Brianne. She said the factory normally puts electrical caps on it, but must have missed it during production?? I thought it was odd to see two bare wires staring at me as well.
She said cover it with black electrical tape or they could send me caps.

That's exactly what I did. No mention what it was for, though? Odd.

First trip done and in the books.

Towed it down to a place on Rehoboth Bay in Delaware called Massey’s Landing. My parents and their friends are down there for the week, so I loaded up the slide-out kitchen with beer and snacks and went down for a quick overnight with the wife and dog.

Verdict is that this is an awesome little unit. Will be ordering the magnetic screen for the back door, and I'm going to look into replacing the solid glass in the curbside door with a sliding window + screen as well for more overnight ventilation when not using the AC. AC is powerful enough to turn this thing into a meat locker, by the way.

It's solid as a rock with all the landing gear deployed, easy to set up, easy to tear down and drive off, and it pulls quite nicely with no sway or wandering. The JKU is not the most ideal tow vehicle (a transmission with more gear range than the 5-speed auto would be better), but it did well enough. I saw 13.6 MPG on the road tugging this tiny trailer.

And that 100 lbs is for a bike rack (or perhaps a cargo basket, that sort of thing) and not a trailer, right? You can only go by what the manufacturer rates it but I personally don't like a few things about that.

This is apparently...

…Just another idea for the rear hitch on the Intech. I added two telescoping square tubes welded to the trailer frame, then had a few “T” brackets made up to add additional support for a truck box. This essentially makes up three receivers that are easily removable and held in place with hitch pins. The swing away is from Rola which they sell separately from their cargo box if you don’t want that plastic

Almost all packed up and ready for a week at the grand canyon, leaving the dirt bikes behind on this adventure so lots of room!

Added a Power Tank SS Mount and aluminum 10# tank today to the tongue box. Install turned out rock solid.
Uh oh, every little mod being posted again. ?
Just curious what made you go with the aluminum tank. The website I checked showed less than a 5 lbs difference when full, and that’s comparing the Worthington 10 lbs Alu with the Worthington 11 lbs steel which holds .2 gal more propane. Good looking trailer BTW!

Thanks, very happy with it. Tongue weight can add up, Steel tanks will rust, and I just like the looks of aluminum so much better.
