Alright, been home for a day or two. Had some wine, some margaritas! Even got a chance to wash off the Sprinter and do a little work on it! Even took a couple of boring driveway pictures with a real camera!

-fixed the drivers heated seat.
-took out the lower part of the cargo barrier. Boy...that took way more power tools than you would think?:coffeedrink:
-got both sliders to work....broke a few parts in the process....oh well
-tried desperately to change the oil but can't for the life of me get the oil filter cap off. Myself and one other very fit neighbor tried for an hour with several implements of destruction and can't get it to turn!:Wow1:....will get bigger, meaner tools and revisit that in a few days.:coffeedrink:

Looks good BTW. What's the deal with the lower body colored window section? Also, in the pic of your exhaust fix during your travels, it appears that the frame rail has some rust issues, but I couldn't tell if it was just shadows playing tricks. How is the overall condition of the van now that you have had a chance to look it over at home?

Is that moisture on your driveway?! I thought the high desert was dry... :snorkel:

Snowed here last night and as you can see its already 95% gone!

These vans are pretty prone to rust and I expected to have some issues with it. The picture though is just playing tricks on you. The frame rails were coated VERY thick in underbody truck bed like coating. It looks to me like a few globs of that coating are blocking the light from the camera flash and making it look like a rusted hole with the shadow being cast.

The guy I bought it from was going to put a company logo on the van so had those rear panels painted the same as the lower trim.

So I either need to put "Stark Industries" logos on there or install windows in those spots:coffeedrink:

Finally got a chance to go through a bunch of the sound and climate insulation links above. I've seempn most of those products before and even used several in past projects.

The big issue is that you could spend thousands on those products to get an ideal result. This Sprinter really does need to be a budget build if it gets built at all right now. Just have other projects that need my resources more right now so I need to treat the Sprinter as if I were a homeless guy trying to build it:coffeedrink:

Well then, might I suggest you insulate it with cardboard and keep warm with some Mad Dog 20/20...
