.....or rename 'Land Rover' forum to 'Temperamental European Vehicles' err... 'European Vehicles' and add the 'G-Wagen' forum to it. You know, since 'G-Wagen' has a 1/10th the amount of messages as this forum. Then by de-facto Ineos can stay right here!!

Why do I get the feeling that JLR corporate has been putting pressure on Expedition Portal to delete comments/threads/move stuff.

Agreed. There is a "domestic" category. Why not a European category. JLR should be a sub-section of European.

Is this where the Ineos hate / rate thread will be?

I'm thinking the JLR hate/rage thread will re-emerge as JLR's new CEO begins his cost cutting, model deletions, redundancy and restructuring of JLR. I still say that JLR should relabel the new luxury Defender as the Discovery 6 and acquire the Grenadier to bring to market as the Defender. Ineos has already co-opted the Defender market presence.

Would you mind to combine these two thread into one?

This is the transfer case. It seem quite massive. And there is no chain, rather a gear driven mechanics.
This is how the classic defenders TC was too. I wonder what would be the crawling ration? The defender had 3.5:1.

Yes it's a ZF transmission with 8 gears.
They would not waste time to build a new transmission since it's been proven and successfully used in the tucks.

I still can’t decide how I feel about the thing. I think it looks decent enough but the fact it’s essentially a knock off Defender/Gwagon It kinda rubs me the wrong way. I also think the specs sound great I just can’t seem to get over the Chinese knock off vibe.

I sure do like it.

It's nice to see them in real life rather than just computer renderings.

The front and rear bash plates appear to be designed to be the first points of contact for approach and departure angles.

Somehow I'd earlier missed the recessed load bars above the two rear windows. Interesting.
